RAVVA Oil & Gas Field – Discovery

The RAVVA field is located in the Krishna - Godavari basin on the east coast of Indian continental shelf. It was discovered by ONGC in 1987. The total area under mining lease with the joint venture is 330 sq. kms., and extends to about 12 to 15 kms. Offshore in the Bay of Bengal in water depths ranging from shore to 50 metres.

The offshore facilities include 5 well head platforms, pipe lines to terminals and inter platforms, single point mooring system. The onshore facilities created: two trains for 40,000 BOPD of crude stabilization units, four crude oil storage tanks for one million barrels of oil, gas processing units, water injection treatment system, etc.
